TrainingLab · Last updated: 9 July 2026

In short: TrainingLab is built to keep your data yours. Your workouts and health data stay on your device and in your own private iCloud. There is no analytics server, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. The app's intelligence features run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device models.

Who we are

TrainingLab (“the app”, “we”) is a workout-tracking app for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what data the app uses and how. If you have questions, contact us at justus.besser@online.de.

Data the app uses

On-device intelligence

TrainingLab's readiness score, personalized workout generation, difficulty prediction, and the “Describe a workout” feature are computed on your device. The natural-language parts use Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). Your health signals and training history are analyzed locally and are never uploaded to us or any third party for these features. These features are provided for general fitness guidance and are not medical advice.

iCloud sync

Your workouts, exercises, and plans sync across your devices using Apple's CloudKit in your own private iCloud database, tied to your Apple ID. We have no access to this data, and it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disable iCloud sync in your device's iCloud settings.

What we do NOT do

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. No notification content is sent to an external server.

Your control

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
